Sons of Achilles

The Odyssey

You don't leave with a plan. You leave as the man.

Two men a month

Five days in person, flown out to you, with everything handled. Then ninety days of one to one wrapped around it so nothing you build falls away the moment you are home.

There is no checkout button on this one. You fill this in, I read it properly, and if I think it is the right move for you we have a conversation. If I don't, I will tell you that instead and point you somewhere better.

Some of these questions are uncomfortable. That is the point of them.

Take twenty minutes over it. The men who rush this one are usually the men who are not ready, and both of us find that out faster this way.

It saves as you type, so you can close it and come back. If you would rather say some of this out loud than write it, answer what you can here and send me the rest as a voice note.

IYou
And roughly what your weeks look like.
IIWhere you actually are
How you feel about your body right now. First word that arrives, not the polite one.
Not the version you'd give a mate. What is it actually like being in your body at the moment.
When was that, and what else was going on in your life at the time. This one matters more than it looks.
A photo, a reflection, something someone said. Most men can name one. If you can, tell me about it.
Coaches, plans, apps, on your own. What happened each time.
Think back to the last time you had a good run going. How did it end, and where were you when it did.
IIIInward
Somewhere in your life you are very good indeed. Name it, and don't be modest about it.
The sentence you have said about yourself so many times you have stopped checking whether it is true.
You will know what this is within about four seconds of reading the question.
Photographs. The beach. Taking your top off. Something bigger than any of those. Most men are waiting on something.
If this actually changed, who in your life would feel it, and how would they know before you told them.
Describe him. How he moves through a room, what he says yes to, what he no longer entertains.
Twelve months from today, same as now. Be specific about what that actually costs you.
IVThe last question
Nobody has ever answered this one with a number. Don't start now.
VPractical
Out of ten, how much of your head does this occupy on an average day.
Injuries, surgeries, anything that would change how I plan the week. Keep it to what is relevant.

I read every one of these myself, usually within a couple of days.

Received

That took something to write.

I will read it properly rather than skim it, and I will come back to you within a couple of days either way.

In the meantime, don't wait on me. Go for a walk this evening.
